BOOKS, BOOKS, AND MORE BOOKS!!!!! O.k., I know that I said I would start reviewing sometime soon but- (and I am, I really am) -but I’m not going to start posting my reviews for a while.  Since I have no intention of torturing the nice users of wordpress, I am going to list a couple of books that are currently under review. Behold…The Books!

  • Uglies
  • Audrey, Wait!
  • How to Be Bad
  • Fendi, Ferragano, and Fangs
  • Speak
  • Serafina67
  • How I found the Perfect Dress
  • Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist
  • Little Brother
  • Let’s Get Lost
  • The Nature of Jade
  • Fly On the Wall
  • So Yesterday
  • Midnighters
  • Twilight
  • The Taker
  • Why I let my Hair grow out
  • Airhead
  • The Secret Rites of Social Butterflies
  • Enthusiasm
  • Avalon High
  • Girl at Sea
  • Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty
  • The Market
  • A Little Friendly Advice
  • Peeps
  • And much, MUCH, MUCH more.

But I know I haven’t even come close to covering all of those awesome books, so I want you guys to give me some recommendations!   It doesn’t even have to be your favorite book.  It could be your least favorite book, or a book you came across randomly, or just some book with an awesome cover!  I’ll read it all, trust me!  There are two ways to get in touch with me

  1. Email me at book.kritique AT gmail DOT com  (replace at with @ and dot with, well, . )
  2. And, of course, you can comment on this blog!

I will definitely post soon, so look out!  And I will leave you all with some good music.  Enjoy!

My Favourite Book by Stars

Ironic title, eh?  It’s not the best of Stars, but the lyrics make me smile ’til I hurt.

(btw, right click the link and press “open link in…whateverfloatsyourboat.)

Have a good rest-of-summer and remember to comment!

The name says it all. But, I guess I’ll have to explain it anyway.  So here I go:

This is a blog. I’ll be writing book reviews (a lot of them, mind you…) and each post will contain the following:

  1. Pre-written book sum, you know, the one on the front flap of the book.
  2. My own little comment on the book/author (whether it’s worth the price, info on the author, how often the author goes on tour, blogs, etc.)
  3. Audience, similar books, aimed age groups, any additional info, and things I think you should know.  I will do my best to contain *NO SPOILERS.* That’s when you guys come in…
  4. You guys can comment if you want, share you’re opinion,  speak you mind, and all that.  I will not ban your comment if you disagree with me, but I will if it is not appropriate!  You’ve been warned.

I will start posting sometime this month (hopefully) and we’ll see what happens….So keep posted!!! And enjoy this song that’s been stuck in my head since, well, forever!  It’s called 5  Minutes to Midnight and it’s by Boys Like Girls.  Good stuff.

Brown eyes and lungs are filled up with smoke
Fast lives are stuck in the undertow
But you know the places I wanna go
Cause oh oh oh
I’ve got a sickness, you’ve got the cure
You’ve got the spark I’ve been lookin’ for
And I’ve got a plan, we walk out the door

You know you wanna
Just let go
It’s time to roll down the windows
Sing it oh oh
Yeah all we need so here we go

Turn it up
It’s five minutes to midnight
You’re coming home with me tonight
I can’t get enough
Shakin’ me up
Turn it up
Alright, at five minutes to midnight
You see our name in city lights
We’ll make the clock stop
Make your heart drop and come alive

We could
Pack up and leave all our things behind
No fact or fiction or storyline
Cause I need you more than just for tonight
You’re oh oh all I care
I can’t stop my breathing in
I’m weak and you were my medicine
I won’t stop till I am under your skin

You know you wanna
Just let go
It’s time to roll down the windows
Sing it oh oh
Yeah all we need so here we go

Turn it up
It’s five minutes to midnight
You’re coming home with me tonight
I can’t get enough
Shakin’ me up
Turn it up
Alright, at five minutes to midnight
You see our name in city lights
We’ll make the clock stop
Make your heart drop and come alive

And when the clock strikes twelve
Will you find another boy to go and kiss and tell?
Cause you know I never will
I think we should strike a match
We’ll hold it to the wind to and see how long it lasts
We can make the time stand still

Turn it up
It’s five minutes to midnight
You’re coming home with me tonight
I can’t get enough
Shakin’ me up
Turn it up
Alright, at five minutes to midnight
You see our name in city lights
We’ll make the clock stop
Make your heart drop and come alive

Turn it up
It’s five minutes to midnight
You’re coming home with me tonight
I can’t get enough
Shakin’ me up
Turn it up
Alright, at five minutes to midnight
You see our name in city lights
We’ll make the clock stop
Make your heart drop and come alive
